Welcome to the Bowling Section
A Tradition of Friendship Since 1974
Whether you are a seasoned pro or have never held a bowl in your life, the Brookdale Bowling Section offers a warm, inclusive atmosphere for everyone. What began in 1974 has grown into a vibrant, year-round community where the social life is just as important as the game itself.
Beyond the green, our members enjoy a busy social calendar, including fun-themed bowling days, lively coffee mornings, and seasonal gatherings.
Two Ways to Play
We keep the momentum going all year by transitioning between the fresh air of the outdoors and the comfort of our indoor facilities.
Crown Green bowling
Crown Green bowling is played at Norbury Amalgamated Sports Club April to October at 2pm to 4pm on Tuesday, Thursdays and at 10am-12 Sunday mornings.
Short mat bowling
Short mat bowling takes place in the Jubilee Room from October to April on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday afternoons from 2-4pm and Sunday mornings from10-12am.
Short mat bowling also takes place in the Jubilee room in April, May, June and September on Wednesday afternoon from 2-4pm
New to Bowling?
No Gear? No Problem
We love welcoming new faces to the club. If you’re curious about the sport but don’t want to commit to buying equipment just yet, you are welcome to borrow our club bowls to get a feel for the game.
We provide friendly, informal instruction for both indoor and outdoor play to help you find your feet (and your aim!) in no time.
