Sections
In total there are 13 autonomous Sections / Sub Committees and each one has its own Committee made up of Section members to decide on the programme for the Section for each Club year. Once you join the Club you may join all or any of the Sections for a nominal annual administration fee (£2-£5).

Andante

Art
Art meet twice a week on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings for members who are keen to develop their artistic skills whether a beginner or more advanced.
Book Club
Whether you are a lifelong bibliophile or looking to get back into the habit of reading, our doors are wide open. We gather once a month to share the books we love, explore new genres, and enjoy the company of fellow members.
Bowling
The Bowling Section uses Norbury Amalgamated facilities in the summer, with short mat indoor bowling being played in the winter.
Bridge
The Bridge Section currently has over 200 members, making it one of the larger sections in the club.
Brookdale Bar
Our Clubhouse offers various sized meeting rooms which Sections use for their activities.
Gardening
Gardening has approximately 200 members. Its activities are varied, being made up of Saturday Coffee Mornings with regular shows and competitions
Luncheon Club
This section has evolved over the years and today meets on the 3rd Wednesday from September to June to enjoy a two course lunch provided by an outside caterer.
Line Dancing
We meet every Wednesday from 1.45 until 3.00. All abilities are catered for, it is great fun.
Maintenance
Rambling
Ramblers have three levels of “walk” per month: a Ramble, a Walk and a Stroll. Lunch is enjoyed at the end of the stroll in a suitable pub or café.
Social Committee
The Club Social Committee arranges events across the whole Club and these are very varied and interesting.
Travel
Travel aims to promote group travel for Club members. They meet socially on the third Friday of most months,
Theatre
Brookdale Theatre caters for all ages, with a particularly active Youth Theatre (BYT). There is a varied programme of productions throughout the season (October- May)
Wine & Food
Wine tastings are held at regular intervals plus talks on food and other associated topics of interest as well as cookery demonstrations.
